Stretch Films

Stretch films are highly stretchable plastic films used for securing and protecting goods during transportation, storage, or handling. They offer excellent load stability, protection against dust and moisture, and help prevent damage or shifting of products. There are different types of stretch films available to suit specific applications:

Cast Stretch Film: Cast stretch film is manufactured using a process where the film is extruded and then cooled rapidly. This results in a clear and quiet film with good tear resistance. It is commonly used for wrapping uniform loads and is ideal for applications that require high clarity and visibility.

Blown Stretch Film: Blown stretch film is produced by blowing heated resin into a bubble, which is then cooled and flattened. This type of film has excellent puncture resistance, making it suitable for wrapping irregularly shaped or heavy loads. It offers strong cling properties and is resistant to tears and punctures.

Pre-Stretch Films:

Pre-stretch films are a variation of stretch films that are stretched prior to being wound onto the core. They are designed to offer enhanced stretchability and better load retention, resulting in cost and material savings. Pre-stretch films provide the following benefits:

Increased Load Stability:

Pre-stretch films have higher elongation properties, allowing them to be stretched further while wrapping. This helps improve load stability, minimizing the risk of product movement during transportation.

Cost Savings:

Since pre-stretch films are stretched before application, less film is required to wrap a given load, leading to material cost savings. Additionally, reduced film usage results in lower waste generation and disposal costs.

Hand wraps

Hand wraps are stretch films designed for manual application. They are available in various widths and thicknesses, offering flexibility and ease of use. Hand wraps are commonly used for smaller loads or when wrapping pallets or goods manually. They provide secure containment, protection, and stability for goods during transit or storage.

Machine wraps

Machine wraps are stretch films designed for use with automated stretch wrapping machines. These films are engineered to work efficiently with machinery, allowing for high-speed wrapping and consistent tension control. Machine wraps offer excellent load containment and are ideal for large-scale operations where speed and efficiency are paramount.

Both hand wraps and machine wraps can be found in different formulations, such as cast or blown films, to cater to specific application requirements.

Whether you need to secure palletized loads, protect goods from dust and moisture, or enhance stability during transportation, stretch films, pre-stretch films, hand wraps, and machine wraps provide reliable solutions. Their versatility, strength, and ability to conform to various load shapes make them essential tools in the packaging and logistics industry.
